Out of Stock! In Stock!

I just got word from I Know Joe Kimpel that they're out of stock on ALL of my books! Wow!

No worries, though. There are more copies on the way, so any back orders will be filled before you know it.

My mind is also reeling from the realization that I can now type my name into the search box on Amazon, and stuff comes up!

I Saw You, edited by Julia Wertz. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can even see a review written by my mom. Nice!

Myspace Dark Horse Presents vol 3. I'm so excited about this one, I just might buy a copy off of Amazon rather than wait for my contributor copy to arrive. You can read the full story here, it's in issue #15. While you're there, be sure to check out the awesome stories by pals Joe Lambert and Alec Longstreth in later issues.

Speaking of awesome, you can now order Awesome 2: Awesomer from Amazon! Half to profits go to a Center for Cartoon Studies scholarship, which is...pretty awesome. I should note, the "retarded boners" thing is a joke from Indie Spinner Rack, who put the book together. I don't know why I find it so funny. It's probably because I'm a horrible person.

Summer Break

There's more of the Basket Ogress story up here. I'm taking a break for a few week to move and go camping and enjoy the summer, but there will be more pages to come.

The good people at Alice Blue Review have published another issue of the online literary magazine. Take a look, and check out the archives. I'm partial to issues one and four, myself.

Circus Comic

No Basket Ogress pages or paintings his week. I had a deadline. More on that project later this week (I hope).

I realized I forgot to post the rest of the pages I had done from the Circus Comic. You can see the story so far here. This is just midway through the story, I hope to color it for SPX.

In case anyone cares, this is the first story I've done all with markers, and it was drawn on these DC Art Boards that a roommate left behind when he moved out, which are horrible and bleed like crazy. Fun!

Book Release Party and New Studio!

Jen Vaughn, Denis St. John, Morgan Pielli and me had a book release party last friday! It was quite a success.

Food and drinks a plenty!

We each did a short reading from our comic. Jen's was very educational and featured the additional voice talents of Katherine Roy. Morgan's had a keyboard solo. Denis' also had music, and a little dancing. Mine had me trying to remember what noise a sheep makes.

It was not long after the reading that I misplaced my camera (it turned up later in a box of postcards) but thankfully, other people were not so careless. You can see Jen Vaughn's photos of the event here, and Kubby's report of the festivities here. Enjoy!

A group of us also just moved into our new studio spaces in the Tip Top building! There's eight of us sharing the little room.

Our space is in Google's former White River Junction office. Here's their new digs, just down the hall.

That's all for now. Hopefully I can get back in the studio and post more Basket Ogress pages later this week.

Basket Ogress

Working on a new story. See more of it here.
